tried to smile, but lets face it, my credit was spent

but i guess you were the closest to me, or i was closest to you
but either way, saw the lack of interest on your face
tossed my misadventure back into deep inner space
it was a paper chase, reflecting on the letters
the last ditch effort of a real go getter
